The knitted square curtain hanging in front of my door

At that time I didn't have that many colors, but I did have a lot of color squares. I then pulled out the sample curtain squares and started my next idea...... hearts.

After much counting, pulling out, and trying again, I got the hang of it and started knitting, which eventually ended in very, very many hearts in various sizes.

And also with spun flowers on them, because I liked and still like spinning. But all those hearts, what am I actually going to do with them? I gave them away with a card to my colleagues during the holidays. And now I make them for sale.

The box full of hearts for my colleagues.

After all those hearts I had seen enough to knit more hearts and one evening it came to me: I'm going to make a crocodile, because I had enough green wool. So hup, to work. But because I knit from memory and in those days I didn't count knitted pins, but checked everything with a centimeter and wrote it down, it took a while before the crocodile was finished. And when it was finished, I liked the result: my first beautiful green crocodile. The only drawback....... it was 2 meters long and 50 cm wide! The advantage: I got rid of my green wool.

Together with the extracted wool and the found knitting pins, I started knitting squares. I actually still don't know why, but after knitting several of those squares I thought: this is going to be a thick curtain for the front door, because a lot of cold came through there. After knitting about 60 or so squares and putting them together, I finally had my thick curtain for my front door, which is still hanging there.

In my next blog I will tell more
