The Beginning

My first knitted armadillo

Then it actually went naturally from armadillos, small crocodiles, and striped fish in different sizes to actually what is for sale on my website today.

And last year I first started making some items for the holidays, and that's where the little pumpkins and Pumpkin Island came out for Halloween and the green and white Christmas trees came out for Christmas.

Pumpkins and Christmas trees

And this year I got a hunch to make some for Easter and out of that came the sneaky Easter bunny and the Easter flowers with Easter eggs and an Easter ornament. The flowers are now on sale as colored flowers.

This was briefly how I started knitting.

After I made the somewhat oversized crocodile, I started thinking about what I could make next, because in such a way of knitting, measuring, counting, pulling out, and starting over again, I did find it a fun and addictive challenge to do. So I just started knitting again with a color of wool I had plenty of, and this time it was the brown shades of wool. And after a few weeks of some trial and error, out came my first armadillo, which is now my medium-sized armadillo on sale.

At this time of writing, I did pick up punning again, because even though it takes longer to finish a product, it is and always has been super fun to do. And if it succeeds, it is still a very unique product that is made.
